Brownie

Brownie

250g butter ½ cup cocoa 2 cup sugar 4 eggs 2 tsp vanilla essence 1 cup flour 2 tsp baking powder icing sugar to dust

  • grease a shallow 20cm square baking tin
  • melt butter, when melted stir in cocoa
  • stir in sugar and add eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg is added
  • beat in essence
  • sift baking powder and flour together, then add to the bowl
  • bake at 180° for 30 minutes
  • allow to cool then dust with icing sugar
