A large group of members had a beautiful summer’s day to enjoy the walks on the Miramar Peninsula, starting at Seatoun wharf and visiting the Ata Turk memorial for an early lunch. 17 members The Wednesday Medium trip took six members from Kaitawa to Panatawaewae for a most successful trip. They saw a large hind and a big trout. On Saturday four members did a circumnavigation of the Panatawaewae catchment on animal trails. A hot and thirsty day. The Medium Saturday group of six members went in to North Ohau hut for lunch and swam in the south Ohau on the way out. On Sunday the trip went up Cross Creek and Siberia Creek to the Incline track, then on to Summit, returning via the track. 10 members, 2 non members The Family Preschool Cycle trip took two families around Whiteman’s Valley, stopping at the café. One child enjoyed a great nap most of the way. 50 participants this week! |
