The Wednesday trip into the East Harbour Regional Park went over an area that was new to most people. They met a large Kaumatua party. 7 members The Korokoro exploration on Wednesday took 14 members to the Maungaraki café within one hour of starting! An “easy” trip. On Saturday 8 members and one non member climbed up the mid McKerrow track then returned to the Orongorongo track and Mac’s hut for lunch, before an easy walk back to the Catchpool. Despite a very cold start, the Makara Walkway attracted 11 members and 4 non members on Sunday. They were also joined by 4 kayakers who found the waters too breezy. |
