Tramping Reports Wednesday 2007 Sept 12 to Tuesday 2007 Sept 18

The Wednesday M/F trip into Turere Strm had 4 members. They report that the lake behind the big slip seems to keep refilling intermittently. The Wednesday ramble had 17 members and 1 non-member.

There was 24 people up at the lodge last weekend. Saturday was fine but rain on the Sunday washed all the snow off the lower slopes.

Four members participated in a Sarex over the weekend.

The Saturday M trip only had two members and so decided to depart from the plan and go to Kaitoke RP instead, only to find it was closed owing to illicit 1080 dumping and so went to Rimutaka Summit. They ran into Cris Horne and some BotSoc members who pointed them in the direction of some endangered Brachyglottis Kirkii. The saturday M/F trip did not run owing to lack of interest.

The Sunday trip into upper Totara Ck had 4 members. There was no interest in the family trip for Primary school aged children.

There was 55 members and 1 non-member tramping this week.
