The Wednesday trip to Waengapu ridge had good weather. It was a new view of Wellington for many of the 14 members and 2 non-members who went along. The Wednesday BusBootsBus had a brisk southerly but fine conditions to contend with while walking the Eastern Walkway. 8 members and 1 non-member There was no off-track as such on the Saturday M/F trip as we spent all day on a very good track up the west ridge onto Square Knob from Poads Farm and then up onto Tawirikohukohu. Three and a quarter hours to the top. We then tried dropping into North Ohau river but were beaten back by scrub and so returned by the same route. Hot and calm. 2 members It was a very long Medium trip on Saturday, taking advantage of the fine windless conditions to tramp from Otaki Forks to Mt Hector and return. 4 members The Family group had a lovely weekend camping by the river at Morisons Bush, with lots of swimming, biking and volleyball on their annual visit. 16 adults, 17 children, aged 12-17 A total of 64 people enjoying TTC trips |
