Twenty people did not let a little rain spoil their day in Spicer’s Forest and on Colonial Knob.

The trip up Sheridan Creek had good weather. They found a spur with a very good gradient and beautiful vegetation to take them up to Judd Ridge. 7 members

Cone Hut’s birthday was celebrated with a cake and refreshments, plus a tidy up. The group came out via Cone Saddle. 2 members, 3 non members

The children of the junior Family Group walked for 3 ˝ hours during their trip into Butterfly Creek. 5 families

The other Family group had a wonderful day at Morrison’s Bush, kayaking, swimming and biking. 14 families

The Five Passes Fiordland trip set off after torrential rain, but found the Beansburn uncrossable, until a jet boat came along and set them on their way. Four members had a successful trip with a substitute leader, while the original leader and her spouse swanned around Southland and Otago sightseeing in a “Rent-a-Dent” (due to an ankle injury).

Chris Horne’s Pekapeka-Paekakariki journey took 11 members and one non member of the Flat-Earth branch of TTC on an interesting mixture of beaches, suburbia, wetlands, a river, creeks, dunes, an airport, and various free fruits, and did not exceed 25 metres above sea level at any time during the tramp.
