On Wednesday 13 members and 1 non member had a beautiful day for the trip from York Bay to Eastbourne.

David Castle reported that the M/F group had ambitions plans that were abandoned one by one the closer they got to the weather; and in the end ambled up the Tauherenikau valley to Joe Gibbs Memorial hut for lunch and then returned to the car. Weather a little wetting at times but I've had worse. Marchant Stream was a little stressful and I wouldn't like to cross it if it was much higher. We established that the wire was in the wrong place to be of much use; and it is too high for anyone under 6 feet tall. 4 members

The medium trip, also in the Tauherenikau valley, in the rain, used Joe’s track and the Shepherds Spur.

On Sunday because the Catchpool ford was high, the group decided it would safer to enjoy the Whakanui track. 3 members, 4 non members
