Tramping Reports Wednesday 2008 Jun 11 to Tuesday 2008 Jun 17The Wednesday ramble from Duppa St to Aro St had 15 members and 1 non-member for a perfect day. Perfect day was also the description used for the Cattle Ridge/McKerrow trip which had 5 members. The Tora Walk trip was postponed owing to lambing! The family cycle trip was cancelled owing to problems with the bicycle trailer. The 5 members of the Saturday M/F trip explored logging roads and the headwaters of the west Whakatikei. It was a pleasant trip. They report that there are a couple of research towers in the Puketiro area. The Saturday E/M trip changed to do a Warren's Saddle - Phillips strm loop. There was 7 members. The Sunday around the reservoir had 9 members , lovely weather and a great social occasion. The Sunday Makara Walkway trip 8 members and 6 non-members for an enjoyable day. 49 members and 7 non-members. |
