Tramping Reports Wednesday 2008 Jun 18 to Tuesday 2008 Jun 24The 12 members and 1 non-member of the Wednesday trip had perfect weather for a 4 hour wander over Tinakori hill. 7 members spent the weekend cycling at Cape Kidnappers. On Saturday 7 members of the M/F trip circumnavigated the Climie stream catchment. A good team effort solved the tricky navigation problem. The E/M party on the Naenae loop had 10 members with an average age of 67, so the leader thought it fitting that they started at the Naenae Resthome and ended at the Taita cemetary. The 12 students and 8 instructors on the AIC climbed the walls at Fergs on Sunday. Meanwhile the 5 members and 1 non-member on the E/M Whakanui-Turere trip had murky but not appalling conditions. Total of 61 members and 2 non-members. |
