Six intrepid women braved the cold and damp on Wednesday, and walked past the Korokoro dam and back, then up the mill workers track. On Sunday, Mary and five other “fools” saw heaps of snow. Three elected to go to Dobsons and down to Smiths Creek, where they met the other three who elected to stay off the tops and out of the wind. The Alpine Instruction Course took 11 pupils and 6 instructors to the cliffsa of Titahi Bay, where the weather cleared for a great day of rock climbing. |
