On Wednesday 17 people rambled around the beautiful Wilton bush in two groups. Another group of 6 took the high road from Karori to Khandallah along the Skyline walkway, in lovely weather. On Sunday afternoon, 9 people enjoyed the circular Butterfly Creek walk, and finished with coffee at Days Bay. The Easy trip around Whiteria Penninsula turned into quite a challenge when the incoming tide split the group. Four climbed the highest, steepest cliff through gorse and rusted car parts back to the top, and were found by the others, who had also had their excitement climbing back up. The walk ended uneventfully following tracks inland past the golf course and back to the inlet and road. 11 members |
