TTC on Facebook
TTC has a facebook account for keeping in touch with members.
Maintaining the TTC Facebook page is very simple. Generally the club makes only one or two posts to the page per week.
These include:
- club night information
- links to the latest 'Tararua Tramper' once it has been published (monthly)
- promotions of upcoming club trips
- other club news?
- see the Twitter? page for scheduled updates for club nights.
Notifications of upcoming talks or special events at club night is tweeted from the club's Twitter account weekly to Facebook.
Descriptions of upcoming trips or special events are taken direct from the club website. These notifications are often accompanied by a 'teaser' image or images selected by the leader or organiser, to promote their activity.
Fans of the TTC Facebook page are encouraged to share their photographs on the club website, and videos of recent club trips on the Facebook page.
Usage of facebook is recommended for
- promoting activities
- linking back to content on the website
