Knuckle Hill – Kahurangi National Park

This in-and-out trip is accurately described on the accompanying DOC web page. The first hour is along an easily-walked former bush road. The last section is a route through sub-alpine vegetation. Our time was about ten minutes more than DoC's indicative time – acceptable, we thought, for a couple of septuagenarians. Knuckle Hill is an easily completed half-day adventure that provides a panoramic vista over the northern part of Kahurangi National Park. The travel time from Pakawau was about 20 minutes.
