Tramping Reports Wednesday 2008 July 30 to Tuesday 2008 Aug 5
The Wednesday medium daytrip to cone turned into a stroll for 3 members in the Tinakori Hill area owing to the weather. The Wednesday cycle trip was cancelled owing to the weather.
There was 12 students and 8 instructors on the Alpine Instruction Avalanche awareness course at Tararua Lodge.
The Saturday medium trip shifted from Kaitoke to Woburn - Haywards via fire breaks and against the odds managed to avoid the rain. They were 6 members and 2 non-members.
The Sunday E/M trip had 4 members to walk the City-to-sea. They had a mix of sloppy, slippery mud, rain and ended having to wear sunglasses. The Sunday clcle trip was cancelled but the leader and 1 non-member managed an afternoon ride after it fined up. The Sunday familly trip along the Skyline decided to transfer to
Tunnel Gully but then opted to delay until next Sunday the 10th.
Total of only 33 members and 3 non-member.
