Wednesday: Colin Cook ran a MF trip to the South Wellington hills, with 8 members, and 1 non members. Their general impressions are easily summarised in a word or four: TOO MUCH BLOODY WIND.
Tricia French ran a trip to weir in the Wainuiomata Water Catchment Area with 16 members. Signing the new H and S forms now required meant that it was close to 9.45 by the time we started. after crossing the top a sunny spot near the weir was chosen for lunch, followed by a fast trip back before the gate shut at 4 PM
Michele Dickson ran a trip in the Wainoiamuta - Gollans valley Area returning to Wainuiomata with 8 members
Brenda Niell ran a trip to Matiu Somes with 9 members. The forecast gale didn't bother us, though the return trip on the ferry was quite exciting, and it is an interesting place to visit. Great views too.
Weekend: Lyn Taylor ran a postponed trip to Kime with three members. they reported glorious weather, great views and the new hut well worth a visit.
1 May - 2 Jun: Bob Ciffers & Karen Turner lead a party of 25 members along the Nadia track in the Marlborough Sounds
climb 31 May - 2 Jun: Daniel Rogerson and Dave Cooper, two members, spent Saturday night on the summit Plateau of Ruapehu and climbed several of the peaks
