Lowry Bay /Gollans Valley/Mahina Bay/York Bay M
Wednesday 29 September
A sunny day with a bit of wind - lovely bush, nice views and one small stream crossing.
After parking cars in Lowry Bay, we climbed up the Francis Bell track to the Main Ridge, visited Top Forks in Gollans Valley, rejoined the Main Ridge track and went down the Ferry Road track above Days Bay. There were great views of the snow-capped Kaikouras. We went up to the Dr William Bell airline tag track above Mahina Bay, and then bush-bashed a bit to the Kaitawa track in York Bay before returning along the road back to the cars.
Just over 6 hours.
