Weekend
Franz Hubman and a keen party of four completed a Otaki forks – Kime – Renata Loop. Started with supper at Field, then a freezing night at Kime. Over Hector where the visibiliity diminished, then onto Aston and down to the bushline on Renata Ridge. Lunch enjoyed at Elder Hut, but without the view. On to Renata hut where a reluctant fire did not prevent an excellent meal with mulled wind. A relaxed start on Sunday to Maymorn junction, then down to Odlins Road in better than forecast weather. Past the new Waiotauru hut ending at the Fenceline car park, with 4 members.
