Sending email from a Role

Club roles have shared Gmail inboxes in TTC's Google Workspace, with email addresses like ttc.role.nzme@ttc.org.nz..
To send email from a club role, e.g. ttc.president@ttc.org.nz: ttc.secretary@ttc.org.nz, ttc.treasurer@ttc.org.nz there Must be the corresponding share inbox in TTC's Google Groups

Follow these steps:

• open groups.google.com and open the ttc.role.name group
• open TTC Gmail and ensure you are logged in with your TTC identity, i.e. givenname.familyname@ttc.org.nz
• go to Gmail Settings > See all settings > Accounts
• under “Send mail as”, click “Add another email address”
• enter ttc.role.name@ttc.org.nz, ensure #treat as an alias# is selected, and click "next step"
• click "Send verification" and Google will send a verification email to the TTC shared inbox group
• go groups.google.com, open the message, and click the verification link

When composing email in TTC's Gmail, choose ttc.role.name@ttc.org.nz in the From field.
