Trent Corbett and colleagues from the NZ Army plan to hold a dawn service to mark ANZAC Day at the Memorial Cross on Pukemoumou (Mt Hector).
The cross was erected in memory of trampers from clubs across Wellington who died in the Second World War. Contact Trent -> mailto:trentandrach [snail] gmail [period] com 021 041 3751 if interested in attending or helping with part of the service. The group plans a fast/fit tramp in on 24 April to camp at Mt Hector, and to then hold the service at 06:30 on 25 April followed by a shared billy of coffee. People are welcome to tramp in independently and meet us at Mt Hector. Please bring a mountain daisy in lieu of poppies
